π§ What Is a Wellness Resort?
A Wellness Resort is a tourism project offering:
- Accommodation
- Landscaped green open spaces
- A variety of wellness services including:
- Ayurveda
- Yoga
- Naturopathy
- Unani
- Siddha
- Homeopathy
- Acupuncture
β Not Eligible: Standalone gyms, spas, cosmetic centers, skincare clinics, immunization centers, health check-ups, or allopathy-based hospitals.
β Only NABH-accredited or in-process wellness centers with hospitality integration are eligible.
π Policy Operative Period
- Applicable from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2025
- Only projects that commence commercial operations within this period are eligible
- New and expansion projects (with 50%+ capacity increase) are eligible
ποΈ Financial Incentives for Wellness Resorts
β 1. Capital Subsidy β 15%

β 2. Electricity Duty Exemption β 100% for 5 Years
- The government issues an exemption to the electricity board based on your first electricity bill
- Valid for a period of 5 years from commercial operation
β 3. Stamp Duty & Registration Reimbursement β 100%
- Full reimbursement of stamp duty and registration fees on land/lease/ownership transfer
- Must be claimed within 180 days of commercial operation
